NAV Glossary
Hedge Fund NAV

Definition: The total value of a hedge fund’s assets less its liabilities, or the net worth of the portfolio. Hedge fund NAV is calculated monthly or quarterly rather than daily.

Example: A hedge fund with total assets of $300 million, total liabilities of $50 million, and 5 million shares outstanding has a NAV of $50 per share.
