In light of the ongoing pandemic and global restrictions reinstated in recent weeks, we have decided to host our annual Mindmeld conference virtually to protect the health and safety of all attendees. Although it was our hope to meet in person this year, we have designed an exciting multi-day event comprised of several informative and interactive sessions where experts will cover:

Ms. Altieri serves White Oak as Chief Operating Officer, with primary responsibility for the firm’s Technology and Operations. She was previously Founder and President of J.P. Mitchell & Company, a boutique consulting firm serving Fortune 50 Financial Services and Top 100 Financial Technology and Services firms. She has also served as a Principal in the Financial Services Practice at Ernst & Young, where she managed large-scale technology initiatives and operations strategy for Fortune 50 clients, and as a Manager of Investment Technology and Operations at American International Group. She holds a B.S. in Accounting and Computer Science from University of Dayton.

Damion Brown

Head of Credit Operations/ Finance Managing Director, MidOcean Credit Partners

Damion Brown joined MidOcean in 2009 and is primarily responsible for managing the financial operations of MidOcean Credit Partners. Prior to his current position, Mr. Brown was the Head of Operations at Outpost Investment Group. Mr. Brown was also the Assistant Controller for JD Capital Management LP. Additionally, Mr. Brown worked as Associate Manager at GlobeOp Financial Services and worked in the business development unit of the Bank of New York's mutual fund accounting and custody group.

Joe Carroll

Chief Development Officer, Public Trust

Joe is the Chief Development Officer for Public Trust where he is a key member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for the development and execution of short- and long-term strategies focused on the organization’s growth and success. Previously, he served as a Vice President of Investment Advisory Services where he facilitated investment advisory relations and strategic business development for governmental clients in Colorado. Prior to joining Public Trust, Joe served as a Public Funds Representative at RBC Global Asset Management where he provided investment advisory services in several states.

Joe served in the U.S. Army with the 1/75 Ranger Regiment where he was deployed several times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Dayton and a Master of Business Administration from Xavier University. He holds the designation of Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) through the Association for Financial Professionals and is a Certified Government Investment Professional (CGIP) through the Government Investment Officers’ Association as well as a past Board Member of the Rocky Mountain Association for Financial Professionals. Joe holds the FINRA Series 65 license and is an Investment Advisor Representative.

Thomas A. Connors

Chief Financial & Administrative Officer, Octagon Credit Investors

Mr. Connors is the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer of Octagon and is responsible for overseeing the firm’s Accounting and Portfolio Administration Teams. Prior to joining Octagon in 1999, he was a Vice President and Product Controller for the mortgage- and asset-backed securities business at Lehman Brothers Inc., where he held other positions in the New Products Accounting and Financial Reporting Groups. Prior to Lehman, he was a Senior Manager in the Audit and Executive Office Divisions at KPMG LLP. He was a Certified Public Accountant for 18 years until 2002. Mr. Connors holds a B.S. from St. Peter’s College.

Brynn Coursey Heegan

Head of Operational Due Diligence, Managing Director, Lyxor Asset Management Inc.

Brynn Coursey Heegan joined Lyxor Asset Management Inc.’s predecessor firm in 2006 to lead the Operational Due Diligence team. In her role, she implemented the global operational due diligence program. Ms. Heegan oversees a team of professionals each with over 20 years of experience in liquid alternative strategies. She has kept Lyxor’s team at the forefront of mitigating operational risks related to hedge fund investing.

As a member of the firm’s Manager Universe, Risk and Valuation Committees, Ms. Heegan retains independent veto rights on all hedge fund investments across the organization. Ms. Heegan participated in the 2013 Columbia Leadership Program with Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking and is an active alumna of the 2014 SG AMER CEO Club Leadership Program. She frequently participates in Société Générale Americas Mentoring and the Americas Women Programs. Ms. Heegan was selected as one of the Top 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds in 2018.

She previously served as the Controller of Kensico Capital Management Corporation, from 2002 through 2005. From 2000 to 2002, Ms. Heegan served as an Analyst within Morgan Stanley’s Prime Brokerage Group. From 1997 to 2000, she worked at Arthur Andersen LLP as an experienced Senior Accountant in their Financial Markets Audit Division and Tax Advisory Services Practices.

Ms. Heegan received a B.S. in Public Accounting with a specialization in Legal and Ethical Studies from Fordham University.

Sharad Dutta

Chief Technology Officer at Ares Management Corporation

Mr. Dutta is a Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer in the Ares Technology and Information Security Department. Prior to joining Ares in 2017, Mr. Dutta was head of Middle Office Applications for Millennium Partners. Mr. Dutta holds a B.S. from the University of Phoenix in Information Technology.

Jason Hubschman

Chief Operating Officer and Head of Products and Solutions

Jason Hubschman joined Lyxor Americas as Head of Product Development and Financial Engineering in March 2018 and became Chief Operating Officer and Head of Products and Solutions in November 2018. From 2006 to 2018, Mr. Hubschman held various roles within Deutsche Bank Group. Most recently, he was a Director within the Global Investment Solutions team within Global Markets responsible for structuring alternative investment and risk premia solutions for institutional clients. Prior to that role, Mr. Hubschman served as Head of Product of the Quantitative Risk Solutions group within Deutsche Asset Management where he helped co-found the firm’s Alternative Risk Premia Investment Platform. Mr. Hubschman joined Deutsche Asset Management in 2006 as the Head of Structuring for the Structured Products Group in the Americas. From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Hubschman was the Head of Platform Management for the Private Investor Products (retail structured products) group within ABN AMRO, Inc. Mr. Hubschman began his career as an Associate within the Structured Finance and Derivatives Practice of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP.

Mr. Hubschman holds a B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany, an M.B.A. from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, and a J.D. from New York Law School.

Peter Manion

Managing Director, Head of US Operations at Napier Park Global Capital

Peter Manion is a Managing Director for Napier Park Global Capital and is responsible for Napier Park’s U.S. Credit Operations. Peter has over 30 years of Structured Credit experience and has spent much of his career building and implementing support and control infrastructure solutions. Peter has been with Napier Park since its inception and was previously at Citigroup Alternative Investments. Prior to joining Citigroup, Peter was a Director at Carlton Hill Global Capital where he was responsible for building out the Middle Office. Peter has held Operations leadership positions at Bank of America, CGA Investment Management, and Merrill Lynch Capital Services. Peter holds an M.B.A. from Fordham University and B.S. degree in Finance, with a minor in Economics, from Manhattan College.

Todd Marsh

Managing Director

Todd Marsh is a managing director and the head of operations with Benefit Street Partners, based in our Boston office. Prior to joining BSP in 2011, Mr. Marsh was an analyst at US Bank, where he focused on CLO operations and trustee reporting. Mr. Marsh received a Bachelor of Science from Union College.

Stephen Simmons, CFA, FRM

Head of Data and Performance Reporting, Credit Platform

Mr. Simmons recently joined H.I.G. Capital as the Head of Data Governance and Performance Reporting for the Credit Platform. Prior to joining H.I.G. full-time, he provided operational, data and technology consulting services to several credit managers. Mr. Simmons also worked for nearly 15 years at DDJ Capital Management, in a variety of roles including as Director of Analytics and Director of Operations. Mr. Simmons started his career at Investors Bank and Trust.

Jonathan Zhukovsky

Chief Technology Officer, Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors

Jonathan Zhukovsky is the chief technology officer for Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, where he is responsible for all aspects of technology infrastructure, application development and cybersecurity.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2018, Zhukovsky was an associate partner and CTO at Caxton Associates, a global macro investment firm in New York. Before joining Caxton, Zhukovsky served as a CTO of GMO in Boston. He also held the position of CTO and managing director of Highbridge Capital Management in New York for 10 years.

Zhukovsky studied CS and math at Ben Gurion University in Israel.
